Program Overview

The Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) at Prativa Business School is a premium undergraduate degree designed in response to the growing global demand for highly competent IT professionals. Eligibility Criteria for Admission

  • Completion of 10+2 level (or equivalent) from the science stream with a minimum aggregate GPA of 2.0 or a minimum of 50% in the aggregate percentage scale.
  • Must have taken PCM (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) or PMCs (Physics, Mathematics, and Computer Science) in both grade XI and XII (or equivalent).
  • Successful completion of the Entrance Examination as per the rules of Kathmandu University (KU).

How admission to BIT works

Admission goes through Kathmandu University's entrance process. Based on KU's 2026 admission notice:

  1. Eligibility. 10+2 or equivalent with a minimum GPA of 2.0 or 50% aggregate marks, having studied PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) or PMCs (Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science) in both grades XI and XII.
  2. Register for KUCAT-CBT. Apply on KU's admission portal. For 2026 entry, registration ran from 19 June to 9 July 2026 and the application fee was NRs. 2,000 (non-refundable, paid through eSewa).
  3. Take the test. BIT applicants sit the KUCAT-CBT in the PCM group.
  4. Rank lists and admission. KU publishes a CBT rank list, then program-wise rank lists and an admission notice.
